Since joining Chesapeake Housing Mission in 2017, I’ve seen the life-changing impact of a safe, accessible home. Each project—whether a wheelchair ramp, grab bar, or handrail—provides more than physical support; it restores independence, dignity, and peace of mind to those who might otherwise feel trapped. Many of our clients are seniors or individuals with disabilities for whom the homes they love have become places of hardship. CHM bridges that gap, allowing people to live safely and independently. With over 1,000 projects completed, our volunteers prove what a strong, compassionate community can achieve.
