The Raymond A. Wood Foundation’s (RAWF) vision is to ensure that hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors live a life unburdened by the impact of disease. We are focused on creating a better future for brain tumor survivors while contributing to the greater ecosystem of brain research and patient care. I’ve been a RAWF board member for over 4 years. As a Stanford trained neuroscientist, I specialized in hypothalamic and pituitary hormone function. My own brother lives with a pituitary tumor, so I have seen first hand the impact that these tumors have on the lives of patients and their families. RAWF board members are the first to donate not only our time, but our own money to support the foundation. Also as board members, we approve how every dollar of donor contributions are spent and I can attest that all donations go directly to serving our mission to drive research and advocate for treatment outcomes to improve quality of life for hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors.
