Germantown School Community Heritage Center

About this Organization

Our lovingly restored early 20th century Rosenwald school offers visitors unique historic and cultural experiences. We host a museum with rotating historical exhibits highlighting the important role of education and community in building and preserving the Germantown African American community. Visitors are invited to tour the museum and cultural gardens or come to one of our many cultural community events. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, our museum and events are free, enabling us to preserve the community fellowship and educational mission of our original school. We like to say we are a place for ALL people!
