PFLAG is the nation's largest organization uniting people who are LGBTQ with parents, families, friends, and allies. With 200,000 members and supporters, and local affiliates in more than 350 communities across the U.S. and abroad, PFLAG is the largest grassroots-based organization of its kind. PFLAG is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any religious or political institutions. PFLAG Salisbury was formed in May 2015, and became officially recognized as a Chapter of PFLAG National in September 2015. We hold bi-weekly youth meeting on Zoom with a licesnced counselor and therapist along with a zoom Discord group and scheduling unperson meetings once a month. PFLAG also has monthly membership meetings, open to the public. We typically have a topic for discussion, and sometimes we might have a special guest. Attendees may share and participate as much or as little as they would like. PFLAG additionally engages in advocacy work in our local community. We distribute pride pins and other pride swag at Third Friday and at tabling events both within and outside Wicomico County. PFLAG also provides a social aspect for adults with our monthly "Happy Hours" at The Brick Room. Salisbury PFLAG also is home for the states very first crosswalk and we created a community affair each year in October. (at the intersection of Market and N. Division Streets).
