Salisbury Paramedic Foundation, Inc.

About this Organization

The Salisbury Paramedic Foundation aims to raise funds for the below programs in 2025: Expansion of Public Access AEDs: We are committed to increasing the number of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public areas throughout Salisbury and Wicomico County. Our goal is to install these life-saving devices in high-traffic locations such as parks, schools, shopping centers, and community centers, ensuring immediate access during cardiac emergencies. Ultrasounds on our EMS and Mobile Integrated Health Units: By integrating ultrasound technology into our emergency medical services, our teams will be equipped to perform critical assessments on-site. This advancement allows for quicker diagnoses of conditions such as internal bleeding or cardiac complications, facilitating timely treatment decisions. This initiative will significantly improve treatment efficacy during patient transport to medical facilities, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. Captain Bryan Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund: We proudly continue the Captain Bryan Lewis Memorial Scholarship Fund, honoring Captain Bryan "B-Ba" Lewis. Administered by the Wor-Wic Foundation, this scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in paramedicine. In 2024, we awarded our first (2) $1,000 scholarships to EMS students, demonstrating our commitment to fostering the next generation of emergency medical professionals. By investing in their education, we aim to empower future EMS leaders who embody Bryan Lewis's values and are prepared to meet the challenges of modern emergency services.
