The Worcester County Child Advocacy Center, otherwise known as "The CRICKET Center" co-locates members of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for conducting the investigations and collecting evidence for prosecution of child abuse cases. The CRICKET Center offers forensic interviewing of alleged victims in a child-friendly setting, referrals for mental health or trauma-based therapy expeditiously, coordinated case management, and family advocacy from initial outcry through prosecution. The Child Advocacy Center model is designed to further protect children from victimization and reduce the lasting effects of childhood trauma.
