Four days a week, Epoch provides free programming that includes after-school transportation, childcare, academic support, therapeutic mentorship, and healthy family-style meals. When students and their families know that their basic needs are consistently met, long-term success becomes a tangible reality. In alignment with its name, Epoch Dream Center strives to cultivate a consistently safe, loving, and nurturing environment wherein, over years of relationship, its students feel empowered to dream beyond their current circumstance. When students come to Epoch the have access to a structured evening of activities including: academic tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, Social-emotional learning lessons physical exercise, extracurricular activities, therapeutic interventions, and nutritious, family-style meals. Participating youth also learn the value of working hard, loving everyone, respecting authority, and forgiving quickly--values that make up what is known as the "Epoch Code" and guide all of our programming. It is our vision that, through their attendance, students would gain the foundational support and resources necessary to excel toward their fullest potential.
