At Fenix Youth Project, we recognize the power of lived experiences. We invite young people directly impacted by housing insecurity to actively participate in advocacy and outreach. Through collaborative projects and volunteer-driven initiatives, we aim to empower young people with the skills they need to make a difference in their communities. Our work would not be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers who contribute time, passion, and resources. Together, we strive to create a collaborative, inclusive environment that empowers youth to thrive and ensures our programs and advocacy initiatives have a lasting impact on our community. Fenix Youth Project, Inc. is making a transformative impact on youth homelessness on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Through outreach, advocacy, and direct support, we connect unhoused youth with critical resources, provide safe spaces for self-expression, and build a support community. In the past year alone, our organization has supported over 80 young people facing housing instability, including several who received emergency shelter, over 80% of those youth who were connected to job resources, and a growing number who accessed mental health services. We aim to see our participants experiencing stable housing or employment outcomes within six months. Our goal at Fenix Youth Project is to break cycles of poverty and create pathways to sustainable futures. Every dollar and volunteer hour invested in the Fenix Youth Project contributes directly to creating a future where young people have a safe place to call home.
