Hands and Hearts Ending Homelessness Inc.

About this Organization

Hands and Hearts Ending Homelessness (HHEH) is a 501c3 non-profit emergency shelter formerly known as the Community Emergency Shelter Program (CESP). Currently, HHEH offers emergency, cold weather housing and supportive services to homeless men during an approximate five-month term each year. During their stay, each client receives support to set goals and overcome obstacles that may exist as barriers to improving individuals' economic sustainability. HHEH partners with other organizations and entities including HOPE, ACT, the City of Salisbury, Tidal Health, and many others, and through these partnerships HHEH can assist clients in obtaining birth certificates, social security cards, photo identification, mental health services, addiction support, and primary care services, among others. HHEH's goal is to expand to year-round transitional housing and services for clients, assisting them in achieving their goals of long-term housing and economic stability. To continue to serve the homeless men in our community sustainable funding is needed. Costs continue to rise even as giving declines due to economic conditions over the last few years. Contributions toward operating costs are extremely helpful and necessary for the sustainability of existing operations. With help from our local and regional communities and your generous donations, HHEH can continue its mission of providing needed services to the homeless men of the Lower Eastern Shore.
