Magi Fund

About this Organization

The Magi Fund exists solely to raise funds for the benefit of the Joseph House Center and the Christian Shelter, two non-profit organizations that meet the critical needs of the Lower Eastern Shore's needy by providing them financial help, food and shelter. It is a totally volunteer entity with no staff, offices or overhead costs, splitting all proceeds 50-50 between the two charities. While it raises donations throughout the year, the Magi Fund's primary fundraising vehicle is an annual Christmas concert that features local and national musical talent such as the National Christian Choir. Production costs for the event are covered by donations from corporate sponsors and advertisers so that 100 percent of all proceeds from ticket sales and contributions can go to the two organizations. Since its founding in 1994, the Magi Fund has raised and distributed some $3 million while also establishing an endowment at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore to benefit the two charities.
