SNHS was created in 1993 to make homeownership more accessible for the community and in 1994 became NeighborWorks incorporated. We help people become homeowners and/or stay in their homes if they are in danger of foreclosure. Our services encompass multiple purposes in all aspects of the homebuying process. - homebuyer education workshops - post purchase workshops - budget and credit counseling - foreclosure mitigation and intervention - various housing assistance programs - loans and grants for buyers in Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester Counties - presentations for local housing professionals From 2017 to 2023, Salisbury NHS invested $41,572,000 into the local economy. Our team delivered homebuyer counseling and education to 2085 households and foreclosure prevention assistance to 435 households. We also created 263 new homeowners. In addition, in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Salisbury NHS pivoted to provide $1,162,000 in emergency rental assistance.
