Our affinity group of young professionals, the United Way Emerging Leaders, annually provides local low income, at risk families with holiday gifts, clothing and meals. The group shops, wraps and delivers gifts and meals to these families, who are recommended by school administrators and do not receive other community support. Being able to provide special holiday gifts and food eases the financial stress the season often brings to those who are already facing significant financial challenges. Last year, your Shore Gives More donations to United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore provided funds for the Emerging Leaders to help 116 children and their families.
